NOTZING [KNOTZEPT]
Notzing from Madrid is a project that “we love to love”… Yes, one more; if hypnotic techno is all about repetition, Notzing is for sure a high representative of the genre, but not only. Like Servant Silent, he understood very quickly the power of merging industrial harshness with the textured hypnotic techno of the Spanish school. If the latter is very efficient on the dancefloor, its linear energy and “maximal matter” often build walls with the listener at home. Yet Notzing throws some blood on the monochromic Spanish sound, and through such a provocation, fires up the emotion…
“Zulaw” is a perfect illustration of such intense impact, as it made us literally jump out of the chair, going OOOOOH like in a breakdance competition. Grab your headphones and feel it too: Notzing is one of our favourite sonic psychiatrists, having taken the name of a real scientist from the 19th century and capable of triggering the bomb living within us to expel it from the chest…
