FUNDS TO HELP THE UKRAINIAN FAMILIES AND CHILDREN

Important names of our scene, such as ASC, Kangding Ray, Neel, Svreca, Pris, Psyk, Sam KDC, Sigha and many more have responded to the invitation of Sublunar Records for its fundraiser, an Italian label which contains cutting-edge modular-based sounds and spirals in its deep discography, worth an exploration. From intriguing to profound pieces, the tracks are all very interesting, in line with the label’s sound signature and quality of productions.

Camera Magmatica – Curated by JacopoFundraiser for Ukraine [2022-03-31]

FUNDS TO HELP THE UKRAINIAN FAMILIES AND CHILDREN

After a first remarked compilation curated by Neel, the magmatic Italian label, founded by r²π in 2019, is back with a new VA, this time serving as a fundraiser. The release is curated by Midgar’s owner Jacopo and contains creative experimental and synth ambient tracks. We wouldn’t expect a less imaginative and dreamy selection out of the fraternal collaboration between Jacopo and r²π. Special mention on Polygonia’s liquid track: we sense that she evolves now in a high level of production.

After Israël and the United Arab Emirates, it’s the turn of Azerbaijan to show signals that the oriental culture opens itself to hypnotic techno. Based in Baku, the capital city, the brand new label Sector Audio launches its first release, and what better way to start a label than through a fundraiser? Some dancefloor bangers are waiting for you in the VA, produced by both emerging and well-established artists.

Coyu’s label Suara is somehow the Spanish answer to Drumcode, with its similar level of popularity, number of releases (more than 500!) and dedication to the dancefloor. The comparison however ends there, Suara having chosen a more colourful path through its multivitamin techno, tattooed by the Mediterranean heat. It is worth remembering that Suara is “an underground label which got successful”, with for instance Claudio PRC releasing on it, in its debut. The giant non-commercial VA for UNICEF is a great reminder of the spirit and includes some dope hypnotic techno gems for the peak time, worth discovering. In the end, it’s for Ukraine.

In the previous pages, we have already promoted the first and the second volumes of this series of dancefloor-oriented compilations, then passed on the third and the fourth ones to make room for other important releases. We are back with the share of the final volume, grouping together well-designed productions, tainted with industrial percussions and efficient grooves for the dancefloor.

Another nice way to promote peace is to release peaceful ambient music pieces. Twenty-seven smooth tracks are waiting for you, elegant, immersive, twenty-seven sonic photographs, intriguing and evasive. No matter if they are built with field recordings, subtle piano notes or angelic vocals; they all generate a very delightful and creative sonic experience on the Georgian label, an expert in the genre.
