Vision One – LD Hypno

The South American scene brings extremely talented artists to the hypnotic techno family, such as Launaea, Zemög, Darduktion, !nertia, Aleja Sanchez and Dåggěr. It feels like next to the abundance of water from the tropical climate, it’s also raining dope artists.

Sure, South America is famous for having some of the last authentic shamanic foundations, as well as embracing a hot festive culture, which invented the Latin percussions, including conga, güira, maracas, timbales and tambora, played frenetically under the sun like nowhere else.

Then, some electronic music maestros weave the sunny culture into their subtle techno, authentic, tribal, trippy from its grooves and deep sonorities. It’s a mixture of explosive warm sensations, touching both the heart and the soul, particularly well-understood and diffused by LD Hypno from Argentina, in the first mix of Visions of Hiira‘s podcast.

LD Hypno is himself behind the record label The Code along with Journey on Soma, with its mix series Codecast, two projects that are in vein with the set’s content and therefore highly recommended to dig into if you still haven’t. At least, “Vision One” shows a high mastery of valuing our favourite frequencies.

Talking about the mix, through its guideline of tribal percussions and dubby basslines, “Vision One” literally blows up all our evaluation criteria:
“Is the track selection great?” – “We don’t care, we are currently dancing and shaking the booty.”
“Is the energy well managed?” – “Just listen, just dance.”
“How is the game of tension?” – “Go away now, we’re trippin’.”

Considering his great involvement in the music scene, it is fair to affirm that LD Hypno is an authentic aficionado of hypnotic techno, meticulously crafting his projects to make them “sound special”, for our greatest pleasure.
