Eamo – Solar Effect

Eamo – Solar Effect

(Secuencias Temporales, 2021-09-06)

It’s all too uncommon to discover a fresh artist that has already solidified a keen ear for the sound straight from his very first release. Hearing the direction of his production and thinking “everything just fits” from the beginning is a rare occurrence, but it happens.

And with a little digital footprint as an emerging artist, Eamo breaks obscurity with industrial-flavoured drones – digging deep into low frequencies and hypnotising patterns. The Russian artist humbly releases his work on Secuencias Temporales with a distinct sound, certain to leave an impression. Ever-evolving, each of the five tracks builds on the previous.

Beginning with the first track, “Venus Effect”, listeners are taken on a sensual journey. Deep chords float atop the atmosphere while drones swoop in to drive the track along. Using these predominant elements, Eamo experiments on the slow BPM to devise an intriguing and captivating sonic shape.

In the second track, “Earth Effect”, Eamo converts sensual aspects into a harder-hitting club variant. As the drones more obviously overpower the atmosphere and kick stab a little deeper, each escalation provides energy to the driving nature.

The third and the fourth tracks offer something unique in each, however, leaned heavily on the previous two for similar inspiration.

… But the fifth track…

The fifth track is where Eamo experiments the most. Using the theme of heavy drones and wonky basslines, melodic elements are sprinkled throughout. Halfway through the track, listeners are greeted with instrumentals in a pleasant addition. Coupled with synthetic accents to compliment each affront, the track closes off the EP wonderfully.

With a careful release making such an impression, Eamo showcases an addictive deep sound, sure to reveal more in his future productions. But for now, his impactful basslines and blanket drones solidify a statement for his first release!
