Rambadu and Claudio PRC already met in a past EP:

CLAUDIO PRC & RAMBADU [RAMBADU]

No, you’re not dreaming, this is really a collaboration between Claudio PRC & Rambadu…

If you find this unbelievable, do like us: reread it ten times and pinch yourself…

“Sai Matika” contains only three tracks, which is usually not enough to be selected in our “golden release” section. However, when one of “the world’s best atmospheric techno designers” teams up with one of “the world’s best tribal techno designers”, expect gold, and it’s exactly what each track is: precious; made to be collected.

Happily, the EP is also delivered in a vinyl record, and if we were you, we would jump on it before Discogs.com sells it ten times its original price…

Deep and substantial, the music has been on loop in our headphones since its discovery. The two artists succeeded in creating a third entity, separate from their individual styles yet showing harmonious musical complicity.

Consequently, we are now crossing our fingers to get more releases from this incredible duo…

FROM THE VAULT
RESURRECTING A DOPE RELEASE FROM THE PAST

An incredible performance by Jelinek, with a free jazz legend:

JAN JELINEK [~SCAPE]

As you know, techno is defined as “hypnotic” if it is based on “a repetition”. The advent of synthesisers in the 80s, particularly the digital samplers produced by renowned brands like Akai and Ensoniq, greatly contributed to the widespread popularity of the process.

In 2001, Jan Jelinek from Germany built loops with processed samples of jazz records to produce the present album, using an Ensoniq ASR-10 sampler. As a result, we have a hypnotic techno record with a jazzy twist, a fusion of genres that we don’t represent enough in our blog, while being particularly classy and interesting.

At least, “Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records” is considered one of the “50 best IDM albums of all time” by various media, and if you never heard about it, it’s the occasion for you to discover a cultural monument from the early experimental minimal techno realm.
