FROM THE VAULT
RESURRECTING A DOPE RELEASE FROM THE PAST
If you are looking for more recent music from him, he just released “INTENΣE” on ARTS:
And now a lil’ game; guess who is working for ARTS and who is working for Sauron (PS there are hints)…
JUDAS [ARTS]
No, we won’t make the joke “Amazing spirals by Mike Parker oops JUDAΣ”, because he probably heard it one billion times and when you listen to the sound closer, you notice important differences that distinguish the two artists.
The main one concerns what influenced their respective music. In 2016, Peter Kember, from the mythic psychedelic rock band Spacemen 3, stated in an interview that his drones were inspired by radiators, fridges, lawnmowers and jet planes. For JUDAΣ, it’s likely to be the engine of the World War II fighter aircraft, such as the Spitfire, that he used for naming his unique album, which he referred as “his whole story” in a post. Consequently, you often hear darkly textured humming drones in his music, under the spirals. Parker’s influence on these can’t be disregarded though, but Parker is somewhere else, in the cosmos, as elaborated in our upcoming “Zoom On” article.
Outside of this consideration, who is JUDAΣ? A rumour suggests he’s ARTS label founder Emmanuel. Yet Emmanuel is known to be Italian, while JUDAΣ is Greek apparently, unless it is an illusion… Anyhow, he doesn’t want us to know, from his hooded black Nazgûl-alike tunic on stage to the absolute lack of information…
So let’s just hit play and enjoy the dope sound…
