ABDULLA RASHIM [NORTHERN ELECTRONICS]
Claudio PRC, Luigi Tozzi, Donato Dozzy, Peter Van Hoesen and Dorisburg all reunited in one post might have given us some nostalgic wings, as we celebrate “Unanimity” today, “a classic among the classics”.
The deep techno lovers of course already know this mythic record, but hey, let’s hit play one more time to revive the fabulous legacy of the hypnotic golden age…
Sure, before that, Linell already enchanted us with “Gizaw“, “Asayita” and “Weldiya“, each leaving an unforgettable impression, but “Unanimity”, his very first album, sealed his (past) dominance as “The King of the Loop” (we miss you, Abdulla…).
The third track, for instance, felt like a gentle breeze after the rain, while the eponymous outro rather plunged us into Jupiter’s chaotic type of clouds. As to follow with this image, “Moral Blinds” and “Afar Depression” twisted the mind within the giant planet’s psychedelic Red Eye, before “No God” illuminated the exit path…
After such an experience? Oh, we came back safe, yet forever changed, from having been thrust into a cosmic washing machine…
