8TH SELECTION – A new one every Monday.

Want to stay up to date with the most recent music, for instance for your DJing? Each Monday, we list and comment on our favourite releases of the moment. This week:

Eamo – Atacama [Melifera Records, 2022-01-13]

ORGANIC TECHNO

The Russian artist plays with the senses in his tumultuous release, conceptualised on the desert. The EP includes a beautiful remix by Biocym.

Hod – Dogmatic [Circular Limited, 2022-01-13]

DRONE-ISH TECHNO

The Colombian artist kicks off 2022 with an immense release on Circular Limited: beautiful, charismatic, a “must have”.

Basis Change – Links [Affin, 2022-01-12]

DRONE-ISH TECHNO

The UK artist provides a comfortable but yet intense journey, in line with Affin’s silky sound signature. As a result, a high trippy effect from the first to the last minute of listening.

Martyn Päsch – Deep Distance [Aarden Records, 2021-12-30]

SPIRALS

At first glance: a spectacular track declined in various versions. The remixes are however so well designed, as well as consistent for being retakes of the same track, that the 12′ feels like an entire album.

Aion Lazura – Light Collision [Secuencias Temporales, 2022-01-07]

ATMOSPHERIC TECHNO

Very first release of the talented French artist, giving us an emotion, both for the beauty of his music and for being the privileged witnesses of his first steps as a producer.

Shinbu – Vault II [Shinbu, 2022-01-07]

DRUM’N’BASS

New deep and mesmerising release by the Romanian artist, that we follow closely for being one of the best representatives of what we call “the hypnotic drum’n’bass“.

Burial – Antidawn EP [Hyperdub Records, 2022-01-06]

AMBIENT

Give the keys of the ambient genre to a sonic inventor ou you get one of the most creative ambient releases of the decade.

Polygonia – Abbilder einer vergessenen Welt [Huinali Recordings, 2021-12-31]

EXPERIMENTAL

Prolific Polygonia keeps on exploring unknown territories with the creativity of a child’s soul: authentic, mischievous and fairy. Laima Adelaide and Javier Marimon nicely compliment the journey.
