Izora – One [Zodiac Music, 2021-12-14]

DRUM’N’BASS

Introducing the “hypnotic drum’n’bass” with Zodiac Music’s new release.

Luigi Tozzi – Deep Blue: Volume 3 [Hypnus, 2021-12-19]

ATMOSPHERIC TECHNO

The Italian maestro, who shoulders his penchant for the smooth frequencies, keeps on descending underwater into the deep, black & silent kingdom. The beautiful release comes with a mix.

Lakej – A Flawed Belief System. SEMANTICA 131 [Semantica, 2021-12-13]

DANCEFLOOR-ORIENTED

Elected “Favourite label” of our community, Semantica is back with an album, after a long series of VAs. Lakej kills it in his solo debut on the Spanish label, by basically dynamiting its entrance door with eight bombs.

Atomic moog – The Hesperian City [Monument, 2021-11-08]

ORGANIC TECHNO

A n j e & Charles Lcc AKA Atomic moog are back on the label with four ethereal and mesmerising pieces, featuring remixes by legends Anthony Linell and Artefakt.

Khoros – Resilience VA [Khoros, 2021-12-16]

VARIOUS ARTISTS

Van Morph’s skills shine in most of his releases, sometimes more than the artists he collaborates with, but not this time: for us, “Resilience VA” surpasses the label’s releases with its drone-ish tracks.

Fernie – Signet EP [Space Textures, 2021-12-17]

DRONE-ISH TECHNO

Deep space trip from Fernie in his label Space Textures, far above Glasgow. Calling his tracks “Signet”, Fernie seemingly bookmarks the pages of a cosmic book, featuring great remixes by Kontinum and Klara.

Repart – Resurgence [Informa Records, 2021-12-16]

DRONE-ISH TECHNO

Sixth instalment in the Proxima series on Deepbass’ label Informa Records, who contributes with a remix. Also from Glasgow, Repart is first and foremost a DJ, which can be sensed in the way he mixes the layers.

Falling Echoes – Olympian 24 [Modularz, 2021-11-28]

DANCEFLOOR-ORIENTED

Massive dancefloor bangers on Modularz, perfect to scream “YAWP!”, as suggested in “Dead Poets Society”.
