A SPECIAL MENTION
From the VA, Adjust (BE) & Nils Edte also on solo works lately:
VARIOUS ARTISTS [INITIATE]
ISS’ cosmonauts maybe once saw it: a secret area in the north, plunged into the arctic cold, very active last December: an uncommon house, welcoming elves, who create wonders for the entire world, under the caring gaze of a man dressed in red………..
Yesss, we are of course talking of Pattrn! Hailing from the obscure Belgian town of Beersel, whose name alone gets us drunk, the family man handcrafted a whole studio, from which amazing sounds come out. He and his partner Hesh, owners of Initiate, have decided to pamper us for Christmas, by curating this spectacular VA, extremely generous (28 tracks!).
Undoubtedly crafted by mystical beings, it showcases an impressive array of beautiful gems, developing the label’s sound signature, halfway between fresh impactful grooves and intimate ambiences.
Thank you Santa Initiate 🎄🎅☃️✨

LUIGI TOZZI [DYNAMIC REFLECTION]
If “Deep Blue” is Luigi Tozzi and Hypnus‘ most successful release up to date, for its sublime dreamy journey, we chose “Myrmidon” as our top-pick, because on top of being mind-blowing, the release holds a special place in our hearts, as our journey in the blog literally started from the track “Kracken” in particular…
“Deep Blue”, followed by its vol. 2 & 3, and “Myrmidon” have in common their underwater wonders. “Kracken”, on its side, perfectly depicts the ruins of an ancient city lying on the seabed. Like Cio D’Or, Luigi Tozzi’s love for scuba diving fuels his creativity, and the subaquatic environment is a perfect inspiration to soften and deepen techno. It is at least certain that when he artistically portrays the Big Blue, he succeeds in creating a sense of musical tranquillity, hopefully soothing for him and surely for us.
This is one of the reasons why we love him so much, filling us with pride that he took part in our 58th selection.
